Steven Holl Architects was founded in New York City in 1976 by architect Steven Holl. Considered one of America’s most important architects, Steven Holl became known for being able to shape space and give his buildings character. In 1998 Steven Holl was awarded the Alvar Aalto Medal which is given in recognition of a significant contribution to creative architecture.
