Biography:
Jane Wernick is a graduate of Southampton University in England. She is a structural engineer who specializes in the design of structures to complement the architecture of buildings. She has a wide experience in the design of irregular and complex geometries, and lightweight structures. Wernick worked for Ove Arup and Partners from 1976 – 1979. She then worked for Birdair Structures Inc. from 1980 – 1981 before rejoining Ove Arup and Partners from 1982 – 1998, where her most notable project was the Millennium Wheel. She founded Jane Wernick Associates in August 1998 and is currently Director of the firm. (1)

History:
Jane Wernick Associates was founded in August 1998. The firm deals with the structural design of institutional, domestic and commercial buildings, bridges, and sculptures. While the firm focuses on the design of structural systems, they enjoy working closely with the entire design team to bring delight through their projects. The firm has worked closely with architects such as Zaha Hadid and David Chipperfield. The practice is led by Jane Wernick. (1)
