HISTORY:

KBR, formerly known as Kellogg Brown & Root, was formed during the times of the Wright Brothers. The firm was started by Morris W. Kellogg after he opened a pipe fabrication busisness in New York. He was able to transform his business into an engineering firm that led to creation of new technologies, for example: the world’s first catalytic cracking facility in Baton Rouge, LA. The engineering firm then spread to cover more expertise after 1956 when KBR created the first European crude oil-based liquid ethylene cracking faciliy in 1956.
