History:

WS Atkains and Partners was established by Sir William Atkins in 1938 at London.  At its founding, it was primarily a structural engineering firm.  Following the 1940’s Atkins began to transform into a multidisciplinary firm, hosting services that involve all the civil engineering fields, architecture, geomatics, and many more.  This firm now holds a major stock in the London Stock Exchange.  They are also primary engineers responsible for the 2012 olympics to be held in London.  in 2010, PBSJ in North America merged to become Atkins in North America.  Atkins now holds offices all over the world in regions including North America, Europe, the Middle East, and East Asia.
