Philosophy:
“My investigations are without boundaries…. examining physical place [and] cultural  strata.” -Antoine Predock (architecturaldigest.com)

History:
Antoine Predock, the principle of Antoine Predock Architect PC, established his studio in 1967 after accumulating both an engineering and architecture degree.  Beginning in Albuquerque, New Mexico,  Predock’s firm quickly grew to gain national attention with the La Luz  community and the design of the Nelson Fine Arts Center at Arizona State University.  Predock’s designs are highly influenced by his foundation and history in New Mexico- Drawing from the local landscape, he creates a spiritual interaction between the individual and the building.  Regional identification plays a strong role in his design concepts and analysis.

The firm is now 24 members strong and its influence reaches much further from its roots in New Mexico, with internationally recognized museums, university buildings, and residencies across the world.  Predock has received numerous awards, including the Rome Prize in 1985, the AIA Gold Medal in 2006, and a Lifetime Achievement Award from Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum in 2007.
