Whitby, Mark


Mark Whitby was born in 1950 in London, England. Whitby graduated from London University in 1972. Whitby started out as a designer and engineer until he founded Whitby & Bird also known as Whitbybird in 1983.  The firm later joined Ramboll, an engineering firm based out of Denmark, in 2007.   He later became interested sustainable development and writes: “Together with our clients, we work towards not only better engineering solutions for individual projects but ones that benefit the community as well.”[1] Currently Mark Whitby came out of retirement to work as an independent consultant in London.
