Biography:
Peter Flack is a professional engineer and co-founder of Flack + Kurtz Inc. He graduated from New York University in 1951 with a B.S.M.E. in mechanical engineering (2) and was instrumental in creating the green movement seen today in modern engineering.  He, together with Norman Kurtz, established Flack + Kurtz Inc. in 1969.  Some of Flack’s most notable past works throughout the period include the Audubon House, NRDC headquarters, the World Financial Center, the American Business Center in Berlin, and Museum of Modern Art in San Francisco (2). Peter Flack retired from Flack + Kurtz in 1996 prior to its acquisition by the WSP Group (1). He continues to be both active and influential in the realm of architectural engineering today and has served as a juror for the Society for Design Administration’s Canstruction New York Competition as recently as 2006 (3).
