History:
Ramboll was founded in 1945 by Borge Johannes Ramboll and Johan Georg Hannemann as Ramboll & Hannemann. In the beginning the firm focused on broadcasting towers made of steel. Over the years the company grew to be a large international company. The firm grew significantly from the 1950’s to the 1960’s with 25 employees to 170 employees. Now it is at 16,000 employees. The firm’s main focus on their projects is building sustainability. They are also a world leader in integrated design and contributor of research and development. The firm is currently working on a wide variety of projects throughout Europe and the Middle East where they range from buildings to oil and gas pipelines.
