History of Firm:
Bollinger + Grohmann was founded in 1983 by Klaus Bollinger and Manfred Grohmann. The firm’s first office was opened in Darmstadt, Germany, which soon moved to Frankfurt. Bollinger + Grohmann would later expand with offices in Vienna, Austria in 2001, Paris, France in 2007, and Oslo, Norway and Melbourne, Australia in 2010 (1). Bollinger and Grohmann are renowned for their their high-level of cooperation and collaboration with the architect, which has allowed them to contribute to a wide variety of building styles. They have worked together with architects such as Frank Gehry, Hans Hollein, Toyo Ito, Kauffmann Theilig & Partner, KSP, Albert Speer, Coop Himmelblau and Claude Vasconi (2). Bollinger and Grohmann’s work has been highly acclaimed, and some of the awards they have received are as follows:
